Well summer is nearly upon us, and we are trying to organised our plans for the school holidays. Everyone knows the school holidays can drag out and bored kids can get stressful!
What Have We Got Planned?
Our eldest son is turning 5 at the start of July (how did that happen!?) so we have a big surprise for him. We wont be telling him where we are going but we will be staying 2 nights at the Drayton Manor Hotel. He loves Thomas and we are sure he will have a blast. We have been once before, but it was a good few years ago now and we didn’t go with a plan of what rides to head too. So, if anyone has any tips then let me know!
Myself, my parents and the boys will be heading to Islay near the end of July. We have some walks we need to map out and organised for work, so we will have to get our walking boots out and ready! We will be staying in a self catering cottage which we are looking forward too! I have never been to Islay (only to Arran) before but my parents have and they loved it, so I’m really looking forward to experiencing what it will be like.
By the time we come back from Islay, our youngest is starting daycare 3 days a week, which I’m dreading but at the same time I know it means I can concentrate on work without having 2 children at my feet wanting entertained. Then in the 2nd week in August our eldest son will be starting Primary 1! Can’t believe he will be starting school.
We will more than likely have some days out planned as well but so far these are still not organised.
Do you have any plans for the school summer holidays? We would love to hear about them
