We are heading to France at the end of March for just over a week; 8 nights to be precise. We booked our holiday on the Eurocamp website over their Black Friday deal, which meant be got a great deal. For £700 we have managed to snap up our ferry travel (return trip Hull to Zeebrugge) in Club 5 berth cabin, then 6 nights at the La Croix du Vieux Pont campsite near Paris in France. We will be staying in their Espace Caravan which looks really nice and comfortable.
When I saw that the campsite was included in their Black Friday deal I just had to book it as I had read so many great reviews by other bloggers including Oh So Ameila, and What Katy Said. When other bloggers say its a great place to take the kids then you can’t really go wrong can you?
Our preparation plans haven’t really gotten that far to be honest. We move house next week and so on top of packing up our house, and working full time, then finding time for blogging the holiday prep has been put aside! Although from reading other blogs I have managed to pull together a rough itinerary for our holiday (although with kids it may not go to plan but that’s all included in the family holiday fun!)
Planning Places To Visit
We have several places we want to visit while we are away which include:
Château de Pierrefonds
This Chateau is not too far from the campsite. Which means we can visit in the morning, have some lunch and a look around the town and then head back to the campsite for the afternoon
We decided to skip Disneyland Paris and go for Parc Astérix instead. Why? Because it seemed to have more rides available for the boys to go on. I managed to get tickets via our Tesco Clubcard vouchers which means we only have to pay for lunch and snacks while we are there.
Who wouldn’t want to visit Paris? I visited with one of my friends back in 2008 but I think it would be nice to take the boys along too. Haven’t really decided what we will see or how we will get there yet but I’m hoping it will be easy enough if I don’t find time to research!
This town is only 19km away and it looks a great place to explore in pictures i have seen. Even if we just get a morning or afternoon exploring would be enough.
On our way back to Zeebrugge to catch the ferry back home we are going to stop in Bruges for the day and explore. This place looks absolutely amazing in pictures and I can’t wait to go explore!
Has anyone been to any of the places I have mentioned? What did you think of them?
