So 2016 isn’t quite over with yet, but we have already been planning and booking some adventures for 2017. As we have our family businesses it can be hard to get away at all especially when it is busy. Although for 2017 we have some pretty interesting adventures to have.
Where Is Next To Visit For 2017?
We are heading to Northumberland (Bamburgh to be exact). We have booked a 2 bed self catering house right near to the castle. What will be interesting for this holiday is that we are taking our dogs with us. We have only ever done a weekend away with the dogs, so a week away will be very interesting. However, we have heard great things about Northumberland been very dog friendly so we cannot wait.
We have a weekend away to Italy booked. It isn’t really a family exploring type of holiday as it is a bike event that Nick and my dad have entered. We haven’t been to the hotel before so it will be good to explore around the hotel and the surrounding area.
No family adventures booked but for myself and my mum we are heading North to walk the West Highland Way. It has been on my bucket list for ages and my mum decided she wanted to tackle it too. It will be my first time away from Little K (Ive been away from Big K for roughly 4 or 5 nights since he was born; most of them being emergencies!) which I think is going to be the hardest part of being away.
Big K is 6 in July and we are hopefully going to Germany/Austria to cycle along the River Danube. To make it slightly easier we are going to make sure Big K is on a tag along bike instead of cycling himself. He might be able to cycle 25km + but over 8 days this may just be too much for him to cycle every day himself.
We have booked a Canvas holiday to Lake Garda. We couldn’t decide whether or not to book it over the September long weekend or delay it to the October break. In the end we chose the October break as September can still be a pretty busy time for us work wise.
We may have to add an extra few trips in with business so watch this space!
Have you got any plans for 2017 yet?
