Welcome to Travel Memories Week 23! We hope to post every week a photo from our past travels (before children included) that makes us smile and remember the moment. We love taking photos of our travels (especially me – Sam) so we thought we would start this little series and see where it takes us. Memories are so special and when we forget we can look back at all our photo albums and know that there were happy moments which we can cherish.
Our Travel Memories
This picture was taken back in 2006, in the USA. We visited back in 2006 during our 3 month adventure. This was our second stop off point. Now I have to be honest and we only added this stop in as everyone always mentions Washinton DC. However, I had not researched it enough and so we just went exploring by foot to see what we could find.
The picture was taken of the National World War II Memorial which is at one end of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. This memorial is pretty amazing to explore. It is very beautifully done and we are glad we came across it on our journey round DC. The water feature in the centre was very pretty and I have since seen picture at night and it looks stunning.
I would love to go back to DC to explore some more as I have a feeling we missed so much out. We only stayed for a couple of days. Have you been before? Where would you recommend to visit?

Do you have a favourite travel memory? Feel free to share, we would love to hear from you.
