Welcome to Travel Memories Week 41! We hope to post every week a photo from our past travels (before children included) that makes us smile and remember the moment. We love taking photos of our travels (especially me – Sam) so we thought we would start this little series and see where it takes us. Memories are so special and when we forget we can look back at all our photo albums and know that there were happy moments which we can cherish.
Our Travel Memories
This picture was taken back this year while we were on our cycling holiday along the River Danube Cycle Path. It was our first big cycling holiday, with us cycling every day and exploring on our rental bikes. Im not the strongest on cyclists but I really enjoyed it. I think it may just have been my favourite family holiday that we have had. The kids loved it…although I think Little K got a little bored sitting in the trailer as he normally is running about everywhere! It was also pretty hot during our holiday, which meant we were cycling in 30+ degree heat everyday! Which is just a little too hot for our liking!
Anyway, this picture was taken while we had stopped for one of our many water breaks. We had decided to cycle inland away from the Danube river itself on an alternative route. Big K and daddy love posing in their sunglasses! Little K was asleep, which I think was lucky as he woke up with a skin reaction to the fields we had been cycling near too. If he had been awake I think he would have been scratching and sneezing a lot.
Do you have a favourite travel memory? Feel free to share, we would love to hear from you.
