Welcome to Travel Memories Week 12! We hope to post every week a photo from our past travels (before children included) that makes us smile and remember the moment. We love taking photos of our travels (especially me – Sam) so we thought we would start this little series and see where it takes us. Memories are so special and when we forget we can look back at all our photo albums and know that there were happy moments which we can cherish.
Our Travel Memories
This picture was taken back in 2008, at Chester Zoo. We visited back in 2008 when we were in Manchester watching the Track Cycling. We visited Chester Zoo during the day before going back to the Velodrome to watch more cycling. I think Chester Zoo is one of my favourite zoos (I even tried getting a job there…obviously that never worked out ha!), I like it much more than Edinburgh Zoo as it is pretty much flat. I also like it more as the animals look much happier and interact a lot more with each other. This is one of my favourite pictures I have taken. Shame my camera back then wasn’t very good quality wise. This picture just makes me smile and makes me think about how even though these animals are in captivity that they still show some of their natural instincts and how caring some animals can be. It is just beautiful to watch. Have you ever taken a lovely picture that you adore but the quality is just rubbish?
Do you have a favourite travel memory? Feel free to share, we would love to hear from you.
